All guest spots should be reserved via e-mail. Last-minute requests should be followed up with a phone call. Here's what you do:
E-mail your guest's name, sex, and the nights that your guest would like to stay. I will e-mail back your confirmation.
Your guest's fees will be added to your weekend balance. You are responsible for collecting (or not collecting) these monies from your guest.
With the exception of holiday weekends, we have no more than three guests at a time. Guest spots are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Each weekend also has a first-come, first-served waitlist for cancellations and last-minute openings.
We can almost always accomodate a Friday-night-only guest. A great option for friends who drop into town last-minute.

When considering who to invite, think single people. It is difficult to accommodate a couple, as they will not have a room to themselves. The house is overwhelmingly single, and really, single people are more likely to get into the epicurean groove.
Please forward this link to your guests before they come to the house. You are responsible for your guests' behavior. We all have friends who would not be appropriate guests at the Chance beach house. Please consider this when choosing your guests. Please ensure that your guests' prescriptions are properly filled on the mainland. We do not maintain a house supply of Lithium.
Again, as guest fees underwrite our bacchanalian excesses, it is important that your guests show up for their reserved spots. If something comes up, please e-mail me ASAP and your guest will be taken off the schedule to make room for someone else. Please warn your guests against flaking. If a guest flakes at the last minute, and someone else doesn't take their spot, they create a food/booze shortfall that will be picked up by you and all of the other extremely pissed off house members. Also, you may be preventing a less-flaky guest from coming out that weekend. Guests who flake without the house member e-mailing or calling will not be invited back.
Guest stays can last no longer than three nights.
The same guest may only visit the house twice.
Former house members and guests from previous seasons can guest only once.
Holiday weekend guest spots are offered first to guesting house members.
Your outstanding balances will be collected twice over the course of the summer. Collecting money is a drag, so please do not pay off your balance before it is due. Thank you.
