How to Sign up to Cook
Here's how it works. Reserve a spot to prepare for the house one of the following:
Saturday-night meal (Big, brash, Vegas-like sitdown)
Friday-night meal (Less-formal, simpler, can be eaten by rolling arrivals)
Brunch on either morning
Cocktail hour snacks
Be creative. Don't be afraid of multiple courses or digestive courses. If you like, think about wine pairing. Decide what music you'd like to play. (Or sub out this responsibility to someone else.) This is your chance to rock out however you like. Don't be afraid to attempt something for the first time on an adventurous group of guinea pigs. There will always be an unlimited supply of sous-chefs to help you out. (And we always have frozen shrimp that can be defrosted and grilled and plated in fifteen minutes, in case your meal goes south...)
Once your spot is reserved, e-mail the ingredients that you'll need the Wednesday before that weekend. (I'll e-mail back anything I couldn't find. Present all receipts and you'll be reimbursed.) For Saturday night dinners, please prep what you can, and remember that most things take twice as long as planned. Try to get us seated by 8:00.
IMPORTANT: Please turn in any receipts upon arrival!
