At Chance, we all profit from guest fees. 

Since ALL house members collectively accommodate guests, we believe that ALL house members should reap the benefits for extending a warm welcome, therefore...

Guest fees pay for food and alcohol.

Last summer our guest-fee policy saved house each member $432 each.

Here's how that happened:

We spent an average of $101/person, per week. Guest fees paid down, on average, $72/person, leaving house members to cover an average of $29 per weekend. This is not for Coors Light and hot dogs; this is for whole pigs and sushi and paella and cannolis and Prosecco and a full bar.

Every Sunday morning, the weekend total (including all receipts) is posted, listing the balance divided among house members present that weekend. These monies are collected twice over the course of the summer.

Essentially, we eat and drink like Romans while guests pick up 70% of the tab. Nice, huh?
